Rick’s Raging Wildfire of Antler Trails MH “Rage”
Rage is a 62 pound fox red yellow lab. He’s from a repeat breeding of our MH girl Tasha (Rik’s Risky Raider x Higgin’s Miss Cosmopolitan daughter) and GMHR Ramers Instant Cash Machine MH (Cashzingers Special Brew MH x Sandy Huth from Holzinger son). Cash and his owner Rob Ramer are pros on the Bird Dog Challenge Tournament Hunter circuit. Some of Cash’s accomplishments are: 2010 BDC Flushing Road Warrior and 2009 BDC World Championship Top Gun Flushing.
Rage earned his AKC Master Hunter title @ 27 months old. Rage is a highly trainable boy, eager to please, yet independent. His speed, style and grace are beautiful to watch, but it’s his calm, cool manners that stand out from the rest. He went 4/4 at the Junior level, 4/5 at the Senior level, and 5/6 at the Master level. He loves the water, but pheasant hunting in Iowa he loves to do too! Rage is a house dog, he’s a constant companion to both Rick and Donna. He’s a very social and happy lab, wonderful temperament. Rage’s full sister Windy is on our girls page. Rage will be running AKC Master Tests again this year to qualify for the Master National.
Princess Rose Thornbird “Maxi”
Maxi is a beautiful fox red all British lab. She joined our family when she was 6 months old when Donna purchased her from Diamond J. Brit. Labs located in Atwater, MN. Maxi’s sire is Pantwood Penguin JH, a UK import and the son of Craighorn Bracken International Field Trial Champion. As one of the stud dog’s at Diamond J’s, “Gus” was trained and run under Rick McConico at Old Oak Retrievers to achieve his Junior Hunter title. Gus was retired from hunt tests to focus on hunting with the owner. Gus has represented Diamond J’s at events such as the National Pheasant Fest. Maxi’s dam is Wildrose Red Thornbird. While having the british lab temperament, Dixie was known for her intense hunting and retrieving drive. She stepped it up a notch and was more wired when it came to hunting. Dixie retired from breeding and went to be a gentleman’s hunting dog and best buddy.
Known as our “Little Miss Maxi”, she has the calm, loving temperament of the british lab. Everyone who meets this girl falls in love with her. She’s wonderful in the house, always calm and clean. To date, we have never heard this little girl bark. Take her out in the field, and she’s all business. Whether she’s hunting or not, she naturally quarters and works the field in front of you, always trying to find a bird but also keeping an eye on her distance from you. Due to her small size, she is a little firecracker out there. When it comes to water and retrieving a duck, she’s just as intense.
Antler Trails guarantees to the original owner the puppy will achieve an OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) hip rating of Excellent/Good/or Fair. Hip x-rays must be performed by a board certified veterinarian according to OFA guidelines and submitted to OFA after 24 months of age and no later than 30 months of age. If a female, hips must not be x-rayed 30 days before or after her heat cycle.
Antler Trails guarantees to the original owner the puppy's eyes to be clear of hereditary defects as determined by CERF (Canine Eye Registration Foundation). Eye exam must be done by a certified veterinarian ophthalmologist according to CERF standards before the dog reaches 30 months of age.
All puppies will be vet checked, dewclaws removed, wormed and first vaccinations. Pups will also be micro-chipped. Antler Trails puppies are sold as AKC Limited Registration unless otherwise decided by Antler Trails. With AKC Limited Registration, you may register your puppy with AKC and participate in AKC Obedience or Performance Events. You will not be able to compete in AKC Conformation Events and any offspring of the dog will not be eligible for AKC registration. To obtain Full Registration, the buyer agrees to provide Antler Trails with OFA rating certification, CERF documentation, and CNM or EIC status (if unknown when purchased as a puppy) when the puppy has reached adult age. Antler Trails will then change the limited registration to full.
