Antler Trails Kennel Up is a small family owned boarding
kennel located on 220 acres of Minnesota paradise.
Surrounded by open fields and woodland, dogs and people
alike love to take a deep breath and relax when they arrive.
As nature and dog enthusiasts, we decided to open our home
to dogs who need to take a vacation. We believe such loving
and faithful companions deserve a little R & R while their
families are away on business or vacation.
We have intentionally limited our facility
to eight kennels in order to ensure
personalized care for your dog. We believe
each camper deserves lots of love, exercise
and personal attention on a consistent
daily basis.
The Grounds @ Antler Trails
Antler Trails is really a perfect environment for dogs to visit. We offer hayfields for our
campers to walk on leash, enjoying the fresh country air. Our private, secluded location
insures a safe and fun walk. We don't have to worry about traffic here!
In 2007, we redesigned our large, fenced play areas, focusing on activities for our campers to enjoy. Dogs
enjoy running through the tunnels playing hide and seek, climbing on the platform deck covered by a shade
umbrella, splashing around in the doggy pool, or playing with one of the numerous toys. Even when it rains,
we have a covered play area for our campers to enjoy the great outdoors. Doggy parents and camp counselors
love the new clean surface the campers play on, no muddy dogs! Plus it's easy to disinfect and sanitize!

Since Minnesota weather doesn't always cooperate with us, we provide a family room
for our campers. Individually or together as a small group, campers can watch
television, watch out the windows for interesting birds or animals to pass by, or
even take a relaxing nap. It's just another way of showing our campers and their
parents that we go the "extra mile" to provide resort amenities, we have no desire to
just "warehouse" your dog. We continue to work very hard to maintain the excellent
reputation our boarding resort has earned in the past 4 years.

The Boarding Lodge @ Antler Trails
From the moment you and your doggy camper walk through our
office door, we hope our homey atmosphere puts both of you at
ease. Whether you're new to Antler Trails or a seasoned
veteran, feel free to sit awhile and "talk dog" or to fill out
paperwork. Ask any questions you may have about our services
plus share any information about your doggy camper that will
help us create their "individual, personalized care" plan.

Our camper's bunk area houses 8 private sleeping/eating quarters. Designed by us for
maximum privacy, all bunks are separated by solid walls and as the pictures show, the
bunks do not face kennels across the aisle. Instead, the bunks face the outside wall with
large windows. To create a homey atmosphere, the television is kept on from breakfast to
bedtime and after lights out, the radio is softly playing all night. The bunk area features
in-floor heat during the winter, air-conditioning for the hot summer months, purified air
circulated continually, smoke and carbon monoxide safety alarms, monitor system, and dog
friendly disinfectants are used to sanitize daily.

The Individual Kennel Bunks @ Antler Trails
Our spacious kennel bunks come in three sizes: 4' x 6', 5' x 8', and 8' x 6'. A
petcot or slumber bed is provided for our campers to lay on, along with a
blanket (seasonally used). With safety and privacy in mind, our kennels are
made of Reinforced Fiberglass Panels and top of the line Mason Company gates.
Since our kennels are back to back, this provides a den-like feeling for our
campers and it becomes "their space", where other dogs don't continually
distract them or bark at them. We have found this set-up causes less stress,
especially for our sensitive campers. Being in their kennel is their time for
quiet time and privacy to eat. Our campers may bring items from home to keep
in their kennel, smells from home can help make the kennel "their space". We
provide stainless steel dishes for water (water is checked and refilled several
times a day) and food, and unbreakable dishes from home are welcome if
desired.

The Personal Care @ Antler Trails
Our specialty is the individual loving care each camper receives while they are visiting. We pride ourselves
on knowing each camper, their likes and dislikes, and their special needs. We offer indoor and outdoor
activities to entertain: small to large breeds, puppies to seniors, highly active to couch potatoes. We
provide plenty of ear scratches, belly rubs, butt scratches, and hugs and kisses!
Due to our small size, highly sensitive dogs do well while visiting with us. It's very rewarding to see their
personalities blossom.
Our campers will enjoy at least 5 outdoor times beginning at breakfast time and ending with a bedtime potty
break. For our campers who may have treats, treats will be shared after mid-morning break, afternoon break,
and at bedtime.
Social dogs may participate in our group social time. Groups will range from two dogs to 6 dogs, and all dogs
will be carefully screened and under the supervision of an adult. If your dog doesn't do well playing with
other dogs, don't worry, they will receive lots of outdoor time too and have the companionship of a human.
One of our play areas is covered, so it can rain or shine, we can enjoy the outdoors all year long.
After a full day of play and social activity, our campers retire to their kennels, ready for a good night's sleep!
