If you would like to meet Bear, that can be arranged. We also encourage you to bring your female to meet us and see where she will be residing while staying with us for breeding. Prior to the breeding taking place, the documents listed above must be mailed or delivered to us. To schedule a breeding, we would appreciate a call or email a month or so prior to the expect heat cycle. At first sign of heat, please call Donna at 218-273-4334. Usually the 11th and 14th day of the heat cycle brings the best results, but because each dog is unique, we strongly recommend that you have progesterone tests done to determine the optimal breeding time for your girl. If you would like more information about the progesterone test, please feel free to contact us or discuss it with your vet. During the breeding process, your girl will be boarded in our dog's family room, which is heated/AC and located next to our house. It has the comforts of home, and is separate from the boarding facility. Boarding the first five days is free, thereafter we charge $16.00 per day. Your girl will be taken for leashed walks and allowed to have supervised outside time in our secure fenced area. Half of the stud fee ($300.) is due at the time of the breeding. Within 14 days following the whelping, the remaining balance of $300.00 is due. Upon the receipt of the balance, the signed litter registration papers will be mailed to you. Four puppies is considered a full litter. In a litter less than four puppies, it will be $150. per puppy. If the breeding does not take, all but $100. will be refunded. If interested, we will list your female's breeding on our website, free of charge. If you wish to take advantage of this, please have a nice picture of your female or ask Donna to take a picture of your girl while she is staying at Antler Trails for breeding. We will include a short description of your girl, her health clearances, and the future puppy's pedigree. |
